About Connie Valasco
I started painting after visiting a mexican resturant in my town. There were such beautiful pictures on the walls that I wanted to be able to capture the beautiful places and nature of our world. I'am a self taught artisit with the help of artist friends and also the internet was a big help. Watercolor I find wonderful as it will flow although not always the way you want. I have always used my artist abilities to make my living. I was a silver and gold smith making jewelery for 20 yrs. I think this has helped me to forge on in painting and you never are complete. Thank you for the comment. Alot of times i use the paint with just a little bit of water so it will move. The rust look on the leaves is done with instant tea right from the jar while the paint is still wet. Have fun!
