About Connie Valasco
I started painting after visiting a mexican resturant in my town. There were such beautiful pictures on the walls that I wanted to be able to capture the beautiful places and nature of our world. I'am a self taught artisit with the help of artist friends and also the internet was a big help. Watercolor I find wonderful as it will flow although not always the way you want. I have always used my artist abilities to make my living. I was a silver and gold smith making jewelery for 20 yrs. I think this has helped me to forge on in painting and you never are complete. watercolors get a bad wrap at times. Small brushes and not much water and detail is always possible. E=mail me if you have any ? and i will try to help. Good sketches with prob.more lines than most because they cover with the paint.
